SENSE4Chalfont St Peter ("SENSE")

1. General Statement of Intent

SENSE takes the privacy of its subscribers very seriously. This policy relates to all personal data requested, stored and used by SENSE in the pursuance of its activities. SENSE takes reasonable care of all personal information and ensures that it is kept secure and prevents any unauthorised access or unlawful use of it. All information is processed in accordance with the applicable UK data protection legislation and the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

2. Collection of Personal Information

SENSE will request subscribers to provide information at the point of subscription to our newsletters. The information requested is the subscriber's name and e-mail address.

3. Storage of Personal Information

SENSE stores information electronically and in some cases in paper format. All electronic data is held in a secure manner. Access to this data is strictly controlled by the Chairman or the website officer. If there are any paper copies of any members details, those copies are held at the official address of SENSE.

4. Use of Personal Information

SENSE will use personal information only for the purposes of running SENSE. It is also used for the purpose of sending information to the subscriber in relation to SENSE's purpose.

The SENSE website may contain links to other sites but please be aware that SENSE is not responsible for the privacy practice of these sites and users should be aware when they leave the SENSE website that they need to read the privacy statements applicable on the other sites they are linked to.

5. Third Parties

SENSE does not share personal data with third parties and as at 7 May 2018 has no intention of changing this policy. SENSE does not have commercial partners.

6. Opt out

If you wish to opt out of receiving information you may e-mail sense@sense4csp.org but please note if you do opt out of receiving information we will be unable to keep you informed of matters affecting Chalfont St Peter which SENSE believes is relevant to you.

7. Updating of Personal Information AND Circumstance

In the event that there is a change to a subscriber's contact personal information, please inform SENSE by e-mail at sense@sense4csp.org. Or update your information by the link on the footer on our newsletters.

8. Access to SUBSCRIBER'S Personal Information

Subscribers have the right to access the information that SENSE holds about them. In order to do this a written application should be made to the Chairman at SENSE's address at SENSE4CSP, PO Box 2934, Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross, Bucks, SL9 OWQ. Such information will be provided within 30 days.

9. Disposal of Personal Information

Data will be disposed of securely and permanently as required subject to complying with HMRC rules and regulations and all other applicable statutory obligations. SENSE will maintain any records it has a legal obligation to maintain.

10. Data Retention

Data provided to SENSE is kept for the maximum period of time required to comply with the rules, regulations and statutes referred to above. Any subscriber leaving the mailing list may inform the Chairman by e-mailing sense@sense4csp.org and may request that SENSE securely deletes data it is not required to retain by the above-mentioned rules, regulations and statutes.
