Chiltern District Council has received an application to build three very large office blocks on Chiltern Hill, off Lower Road.

Barwood Developments plan to build three more large office blocks next to the existing office development on Chiltern Hill. These will stretch from Chiltern Hill to the end of Woodside Close. The plans show the offices will be the same size as the existing office block and the imposing height of the developments will dwarf adjacent residential houses. The additional traffic will impact significantly on congestion and availability of parking in Chalfont St Peter. We simply don’t have the space in our village for the overspill which would result from the developer’s proposal.

To see full details of the application online, go to www.chiltern.gov.uk/planning and follow the links.

To object to the planning application, simply write to CDC planning department saying that the new offices are far too tall; they will tower over adjacent residential properties; the proposed number of parking spaces is not sufficient and the resultant street parking will cause further congestion in the area.
